Running for City Council to bring fresh energy and practical solutions to our community."
A Little Bit About Myself.
A little bit about myself...Born & raised in New Zealand, I have lived in and cycled all over London, Scotland and other parts of this amazing world. A year in Ontario led to Victoria in 2001. I have since been fortunate to raise 3 sons on this beautiful island. Having kids in sport & in school has drawn me to be more involved to take on community roles.
In my profession as an educator in treating cancer with radiation therapy as well as in the community, my happy place is teaching, learning, collaboration & building relationships. Though Oak Bay is a truly fantastic district, there is much to be done to make it even better. Safety for our children and vulnerable people is my top priority.
My Priorities
Supporting Local Business & Economic Growth
Support local businesses by encouraging entrepreneurship, attracting sustainable investment, and creating opportunities for economic growth. Strengthen Oak Bay's local economy through collaboration, vibrant commercial spaces, and policies that help businesses thrive while enhancing services, employment, and the community's long-term prosperity.
Strengthen Indigenous partnerships and foster belonging.
Strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities through meaningful collaboration, cultural understanding, and ongoing dialogue. Foster an inclusive Oak Bay where every resident feels welcomed, valued, and empowered to participate, ensuring that diversity, respect, and belonging remain at the heart of our community.
Safer Roads & Accessible Transportation
Improve road safety and transportation infrastructure by creating practical solutions for all residents. Prioritize safe school routes, thoughtful bike lane planning, and efficient traffic flow while ensuring emergency vehicle access remains protected. Build a connected Oak Bay where families can travel safely and confidently.
Community leadership built through service, collaboration, and experience.
With a Master of Science in Healthcare Management & Leadership and years of community involvement, I bring experience in leadership, advocacy, education, and building stronger communities.
My community roles include President of the Vancouver Island Soccer League, Chair of the Oak Bay High School Parent Advisory Council, Vice President of the Victoria Confederation of PAC, and leadership roles in soccer, neighbourhood safety, and labour advocacy.
Through coaching youth sports, supporting families, and creating community initiatives, I have worked to bring people together and help build a safer, more connected Oak Bay.
